Pycasts
The goal of this project is to provide high-quality video tutorials about Python. The videos should appeal to a beginner yet still be useful for an expert Python practitioner.
This project was inspired by vimcasts.
Presenter
I am Amjith (you can call me Amjidanutpan Ramanujam for short). I make Pycasts because I like Python. I also happen to like giving talks. As most side-project origins go, Pycasts origin story is fairly typical. It was born out of hubris when one day I asked myself “how hard could it be”. Turns out making a good quality screencast is incredibly hard.
I still enjoy producing them because I like Python and teaching is incredibly rewarding.
When I’m not making screencasts, I’m usually working on my other side project dbcli. An OpenSource organization devoted to creating user-friendly database client for the commandline.
Funding
Pycasts is NOT funded. If you’re interested in helping, please reach out to me at funding@pycasts.org.
